Let’s Go On A Walk
June 27, 2008
It’s the summer time and there is no better time to go walking than in the summer. I’ve made a new resolution to walk more to places that don’t require a car. I live so close to CVS and Pavilions that if I needed something, I’d just go by foot. It’s silly to want to drive to someplace so close because it’s just unnecessary.
We have a lot more time on our hands than we’re made to believe. We’re so lazy and whimsical, it’s almost funny. That’s why I’ve decided to walk more. When I go on my walks, I’ve noticed that you rarely see the “kids” walking. It’s just a bunch of old people. Everyone else is in their cars going someplace that’s not really important. Gas has gone up to $4.60. I’m quite grateful it has. It finally forces people to realize that even commodities come at a price. It’s sad because it shows how selfish people are and how closed their minds are because in the end, we’re still thinking about ourselves. Or maybe I’m just cynical because cynicism is a natural trait of an agnostic.
Anyway, I’d like to encourage people to go walk around. Especially at night because it’s so beneficial to you, to others, and to the environment. You realize the finer points in life. So, go for a walk. Enjoy the summer. It’s not like you have anything better to do.
