New Favorite

March 18, 2008

It’s a post about sports. I’ve been out of touch with sports for a long time. I stopped watching basketball years ago. I hate baseball. I don’t know anything about football, except that they make homeruns? I’ve no idea.

What I do try to keep up with, though, is tennis. One of my favorite sports and one that I do try to play often. I think it’s rather enjoyable for me because it’s the most aggressive, but least contact sport. I think contact sports are a problem for me because I’m the one who often gets hurt even when I try to play aggressive. That’s also another thing. I don’t like to play aggressive. I don’t know why, but if you asked me to play with a killing intent, it’d be like asking a kitten to roar like a lion. I could try, but the result would be a meager meow. I’m not dangerous. At all. Ask me to swear and the worst I can come up with is hell. I don’t even believe in hell, so I guess that word doesn’t count as a swear word, does it? Why do I even use it?

The real point is, I’ve been playing tennis for a very long time. I wish I had enough time to play tennis on a day to day basis, but I don’t. I try to keep up with the players and such, but I don’t have television, so my only source of information is the internet. What I wanted to get at was that I have a new favorite player. He’s not American, though. Andre Agassi is still my favorite. So is Andy Roddick and James Blake. But you have to give Novak Djokovic credit. He’s good. I think he’s better than Federer. Give him a chance. Even if you don’t watch tennis. He’ll stun you. I like this guy. He’s interesting.
